WEC Safety Policy
At Whitehead Electric Company, the safety of our employees, customers and fellow tradesman is of the utmost importance to us when working on a project. Whitehead places the same emphasis on safety whether the project requires a single technician or multiple work crews and shifts. Every new employee is given a detailed safety briefing and provided with protective equipment at the time they are hired. All employees are required to attend weekly safety meetings designed to raise safety awareness and highlight potential hazards on the job in the coming week. All of these activities are done to ensure that Whitehead meets its goal of zero on-the-job accidents.
Drug-Free Workplace
Whitehead Electric is committed to providing a safe and drug-free workplace for all of our employees. All new employees are tested for illegal or controlled substances as a condition of employment at Whitehead. Employees are also subject to random drug testing as a condition of employment and are immediately tested in the event of an accident.
WEC Safety Program
Whitehead Electric maintains a comprehensive, written safety program outlining company guidelines for safe work procedures. All supervisory personnel are required to maintain a copy of the company safety program on the job with them at all times. Written copies of this program can be obtained by contacting the company Safety Director, Shane Pulliam, at 678-553-1317.
