Servicing the South since 1938
Whitehead Electric Company was founded by C. H. Whitehead in 1938. During its history, Whitehead has been privileged to be involved with many distinctive building projects, ranging from Richs original downtown store to Atlantas Midfield Terminal, the largest in the world at the time of construction. When the city of Atlanta welcomed the world to the 1996 Olympic Games, Whitehead wired many of the Olympic venues and provided around the clock maintenance during the games to ensure a flawless performance.
In 1991, Whitehead underwent a major re-structuring when the company was purchased by Mr. Peter B. Foster. Mr. Foster assumed the roles of President and CEO and grew the company to its current capacity. In 1995, the company moved to its current location at 5843 Jacaranda Drive.
In 2011 Mr. Foster sold the company to his son, Christopher M. Foster and his business partner, David R. Hightower. Today, Whitehead continues to be actively involved in the changing landscape of the city of Atlanta. From the restoration of the Georgia State Capitol building to the creation of Georgia Techs Technology Square project, Whitehead Electric continues to provide reliable electrical services to the city it has called home for over 80 years.
